The JKC Bioinformatics Training Course & Symposium started in 2002 which aims at promoting bioinformatics research activity in the three Asian countries through scientific exchange, training future talents and exploring new translational biomedical strategies to improve human health.

We are pleased to annouce that "The 11th China-Japan-Korea Bioinformatics Training Course and Bioinformatics Symposium" will be held at Soochow University, Suzhou, China, from June 17th to June 18th, 2013.

Attendants
- Four lecturers from each country, 12 in total.
- Ten trainees from each of the three countries, 30 in total.
- The trainee is expected to be either a graduate student or a postdoc in bioinformatics or a related area who is fluent in English.
- Computer is not required, not provided, but every trainee is welcome to bring his/her own laptop computer.

Cost and facility
The attendance fee is free. Lecturers and trainees should cover their own travel expenses. Local lodging and meals will be coverted by hosting country (China this time). Two students would share a twin bed standard room.

Travel Information
Bus transportation will be provided from Shanghai Pudong International Airport to hotel in Suzhou for team traveling. While purchasing the air tickets, it is better to choose those flights flying to Pudong International Airport, and best to arrive in one team.
Those who plan to travel themselves are suggested to book to Shanghai Hongqiao Airport, for there are direct trains from there to Suzhou. If landing at Shanghai Pudong International Airport, please go to Shanghai Hongqiao Railway Station by Metro line 2, and go to Suzhou by high-speed rail. Attention: The destination is Suzhou Train Station (There are four train stations in Suzhou, please don't make mistake). The whole trip takes about 30 mintes. And valid ID document is needed.
Lecturer's hotel: Gloria Hotels & Resorts is about 15-minutes-walk to Xin Yuan Hotel, where the trainees stay and where the training course takes place.
From Suzhou to Shanghai Pudong Airport
Option 1: Bus transportation will be provided.
Option 2: If you want to spend more time sightseeing in Suzhou, you can take taxi to Suzhou Train Station and ride Fast Train to Shanghai Pudong Airport.
